Hoping for pertinence
And when I look back in time
I'd realise what a fool I had been.
Endless rain pelted this cold hard body of mine,
Reminding me of the fact that I was still alive and feeling.

Remember the book that we used to read together?
As we settled on the pavement watching the clouds drift by,
letting the wind gently carcass your locks
There was this poem we would quote everytime.

Love is just like an ocean.
It can be the most beautiful thing in the world.
Yet it can also wreck immense havoc with its turbulent waves.
So why are people willing to risk capsizing?

You'd ask me this everyday.
Well now I can safely tell you that
Its because they know that somewhere beyond the horizon,
Underneath the pale lit moon,
Is the prize that we seek to complete our lives.
